Netflix Better Then HBO
Netflix is better then HBO, well not better at everything, just in subcriber revenue. This is a very important milestone for Netflix as they a relatively young company.
HBO has been around for decades, ever since 1972, and there is probably no one that hasn't heard about this TV giant and especially about their great TV series. The Sopranos, The Wire, Game of thrones are just some of the series made by HBO. Netflix is becoming more popular by the day and it's nice to see they sett their sight pretty high as they compare them self with HBO.
This news was posted on Facebook by Reed Hastings, this was his post: "Minor milestone: last quarter we passed HBO is subscriber revenue ($1.146B vs $1.141B). They still kick our ass in profits and Emmy's, but we are making progress. HBO rocks, and we are honored to be in the same league. (yes, I loved Silicon Valley and yes it hit a little close to home.)"
Netflix is no longer just a streaming service, they have their own original series. Orange is the new black(12 Emmy nominations) and House of cards(9 Emmy nominations). Great results for such a beginner like Netflix.
Nice to see Netflix having some good result to show us, they definitely deserve it. Just wish they start being available in more countries around the world. List of countries that are not supported by Netflix is still pretty big.

Netflix Plans for European Expansion
Netflix, the most popular internet streaming service is planing to expand their services across the European continent. Finally some whould say, what took them so long. So far their service in Europe is available only in Ireland and some Nordic countries.
Their first order of business according to Netflix CEO Reed Hastings is to bring their services to Germany and France. But even that want be as soon as one would expect, the plan is somewhere before the end of 2014, since their is no official date it could be latter then that. Other countries weren't mentioned so far, just German and France.
Netflix is currently available in 41 countries, most of these are in Latin America. U.S. is where they have most of the subscribers. Across U.S. there are 88 homes with broadband internet connection, while across Europe there are 134 million homes with internet broadband connection. So their decision to expand to European market is well placed.
Among other things Netflix has been working hard on their original content series, which were a big reason for a huge increase in the number of subscribers. House of Cards is still their number one show, ti has received much praise from critics and fans. Hopefully there will be other great series from Netflix in the future.

Netflix has 44 Million Subscribers
Most popular Internet streaming service Netflix keeps getting bigger and better. Number of subscribers is increasing and their original content TV series are getting awards and are consider great by both critics and fans. House of Cards is on the top of the list.
Netflix ended last year with 44 million subscribers world wide, which is an impressive number no matter how you look at it. The interesting part is that in the US only there are currently 33 million subscribers and 15 in all the other countries combined.
However there are still a lot of countries and regions in the world where Netflix is not available. Most of Europa and entire Asia do not have this streaming service available. In Europa only a few of the northern countries have Netflix. It's strange that a modern and develop country like Germany doesn't have Netflix.
Internet streaming services like Netflix are bringing a true revolution in the way we watch TV series. Now TV content is available to the viewers 24/7 and across a multiple devices like smartphones, tablets, laptops and of course TV. People are no longer forced to watch their favorite TV series at the exact same time on the exact same day in the week. Some would say finally.

Netflix HD Streaming
The online streaming service Netflix is now offering HD streaming for all members. Their service Super HD streaming in which you get 1080 HD format is now available for all Netflix subscribers. Until now it was limited to members witch Internet provider was part of Netflix’s Open Connect. The company gave a statement
“Based on the performance data we’ve seen, and in response to member requests, we are now expanding availability to give all our members the ability to enjoy Netflix in the best possible quality,”
They also have a Super HD option witch is available only if you have devices like PlayStation 3, Apple TV and Roku. Netflix is also working on making this services open to all members.
Netfix didn't say anything about bringing their online streaming to other countries. So far they are available in North and South America and just a few European countries. The rest of the world still can't subscribe to Netflix. Another problem is that outside of US number of TV shows that you can stream is very limited. These are definitely some of the problems Netflix has to fix if they are going to be number one online streaming service worldwide.
